Canes Are Set To Play Jeff Davis May 8th

Canes Sweep the Indians

The Canes swept the Indians on Saturday, April 18th at the 3rd annual Border Brawl in Fitzgerald GA. The JV started the day with a win on the JV of Irwin County.

The Alumni Game was a hard fought game with two lead changes, but the ol' Canes came thru with the victory. A special thanks to all of the people that helped put that game together.

The Varsity finished the day by defeating the Varsity of Irwin County. Which was also a hard fought game that had many game changing moments.

Way to Go Canes for bring home the Border Brawl Trophy for the third year in a row.

Upcoming Events

Friday April 3rd will be "pack the park" night at Ridgeway field. The varsity Canes are hosting a tough Cook County Hornet team that is un-defeated in the region. All of the churches are especially invited to the game, and the church that has the most members in attendence, will receive a special thank you on Real Radio 96.9 and Terry Hester.


Friday April 10th is "buddy night". The varsity players will have their "buddies" come onto the field with them during the reading of the lineup at the start of the game. Come see the Canes and their "buddies" take on Brooks County in another tough region game.

Saturday April 18th is the 3rd Annual Border Brawl vs. Irwin County. The JV will play that morning, followed by the Alumni game, and then the varsity will take the field. These games are sure to be action packed and lots of fun.

Red Devils leave with a loss

Fitzgerald defeats the Hawkinsville Red Devils. On a cold March night, the canes pitching and some timely hitting pull them thru. Official game stats will be posted later as they become available.

Come out swinging!

The Canes came out swinging in the Coffee County Baseball Tournament. With solid pitching, and some great hitting, they came away with wins over Telfair and Bacon County, and finished in a tie with Coffee County on Saturday, in a game that went extra innings. I'll post the stats, as they become available to me.
